About
An open sea, seen from shore level — wave after wave rolling in and breaking, a deep purple sky above and a band of warm gold where the light catches the horizon. There is something almost theatrical about the colour in this version: the purple gives the scene a charged, atmospheric quality, as if the weather is about to turn or has just cleared.
The title comes from a line that stayed with me for a long time before I found the right image for it. Waves keep coming regardless — that constancy, that steady returning, felt like the best way I know to describe a certain kind of enduring love.
